Dog Walking in the Northern Panhandle
The Northern Panhandle sits at the eastern edge of the Panhandle park — the long, tree-lined corridor that connects the neighborhood to Golden Gate Park. It’s an ideal location for dog owners: the Panhandle’s paths run right through the neighborhood, and the full expanse of Golden Gate Park is just a short walk west. Blue Dog SF walkers are regulars along the Panhandle, and the neighborhood has been part of our western SF routes since our founding.
Parks & Walking Routes
The Panhandle is the neighborhood’s living room — a wide, shaded linear park with off-leash areas during morning hours and consistently good dog traffic throughout the day. It connects seamlessly into the eastern edge of Golden Gate Park, extending the possible walking distance significantly for dogs who have the energy for it. The surrounding streets along Fell, Oak, and Masonic provide pleasant sidewalk alternatives when the park is crowded.
Our Dog Walking Service in the Northern Panhandle
We serve the Northern Panhandle neighborhood, including the blocks along Fell, Oak, Baker, and the streets around the Panhandle park itself. Group walks, solo private walks, and dog park visits are available Monday through Friday. All walks are GPS-tracked and reported through Time to Pet after each visit.
Why Northern Panhandle Dog Owners Choose Blue Dog SF
Northern Panhandle dog owners choose Blue Dog SF because having the Panhandle steps away is only valuable if you have reliable walkers to use it. Our Blue Dog employees know the park’s off-leash schedule, the best entry points for different-sized groups of dogs, and how to make every walk a genuinely good experience.
