Dog Walking in The Castro

The Castro is one of San Francisco’s most iconic neighborhoods and one of its most dog-populated. Between the energy of the main corridor and the quiet residential streets that climb into the hills, there’s a real range of walking terrain here — and some excellent green space within easy reach. Blue Dog SF serves The Castro as part of our central and southern SF routes, and our walkers know the neighborhood’s hills and parks well.

Parks & Walking Routes

Corona Heights Park is the primary destination for Castro dogs who want open space and a challenge. The park’s rocky hilltop offers panoramic views and off-leash areas, and it tends to draw a consistent, sociable dog crowd. Kite Hill — a grassy rise in the Twin Peaks area just south — is another favorite for dogs who enjoy a climb and a view. For flatter walks, the streets around Sanchez, 18th, and Castro offer pleasant tree-lined routes.

Our Dog Walking Service in The Castro

We serve all of The Castro, including the residential blocks between Market, 19th, Sanchez, and States. Group walks, solo private walks, and dog park visits are available Monday through Friday. All walks are GPS-tracked and reported through Time to Pet after every visit.

Why Castro Dog Owners Choose Blue Dog SF

Castro dog owners trust Blue Dog SF because we’ve been walking in this neighborhood consistently since 2012. Our Blue Dog employees show up every day in the same neighborhood, building the kind of familiarity and trust that matters when you’re handing over your dog’s care. Group walks max out at three dogs — never more.
